QAPI

Are you ready for the QAPI regulations?

Get ahead of them and improve your quality by embracing a culture that thrives on technology.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (aka the Affordable Care Act) requires that all nursing homes develop Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI).  A central requirement of QAPI regulations is that nursing homes must collect and analyze their own data to identify any problems perform root cause analyses and institute data-driven performance improvement plans.

CMS defines QAPI as “an initiative that goes beyond the current Quality Assessment and Assurance (QAA) provision, and aims to significantly expand the intensity and scope of current activities in order to not only correct quality deficiencies (quality assurance), but also to put practices in place to monitor all nursing home care and services to continuously improve performance.”

A basic requirement of QAPI is the ability to analyze and act on data analytics.

Given that operators face competing needs in challenging clinical and regulatory environments, many will struggle with the QAPI requirements. NexulHealth’s integrated software solutions will help drive your QAPI program – so you can:
